Our reunions have typically moved around to different states, depending on whomever is organizing.  The 2022 reunion was held in the Destin area, and the result was pretty phenomenal.  After a great deal of consideration, and a family vote, the decision was made to repeat the general location.  Although the Lost Shaker of Salt was a fantastic house, we wanted to make sure there wasn't a better property to rent.  The property management company has a large collection of over 60 homes, and we reviewed every one.  In the end, the decision was made to repeat the same house as 2022.  The "Lost Shaker of Salt" is stunning, with every amenity, and is the best value of their catalog.

The Destin area is easily accessible from the mid-continental US, with lots of local attractions.  Those flying in should look at Fort Walton Beach or Pensacola for nearest airport.

 

 One BIG BONUS:  Because the beach faces south, here we have both sunrises AND sunsets.  Our house is just a few blocks from the beach, and includes a golf cart and bicycles.  There is easy access to the sand at the end of the street.  (If you intend to drive the golf cart, you will need to submit a copy of your driver's license.)
